1) Aptitude test (culture)

a) Sound dictation: each candidate is presented with one or more electronic sounds, of which he has to produce a free graphic representation and a verbal description of sonic components.

b) Knowledge of electroacoustic music: each candidate is presented one or more excerpts from an electroacoustic piece among the following list. The candidate has to outline the historical background, make reference to the author and provide some technical information about the realization process.

a) Electroacoustics: practical assignment using the electroacoustic chain: microphone, mixer, amplifier, loudspeaker.

b) Informatics: assignment to prove basic knowledge of the computer: operating system, text editor, program run, browser and internet query, email program; file operations (copy, paste, cut, etc.).

3) Theory test

a) Fundamentals of acoustics and psychoacoustics

Suggested bibliograpy (one book at choice): c) History of the 20th century music: the candidate is presented one or more excerpts of a work of the 20th century. The candidate has to outline the historical background , make reference to the author's aesthetics and biography, and provide some information about the composition technique.

4) Interview

Discussion about theoretical and practical assignments. Presentation by the candidate of one or more original (possibly electroacoustic) composition projects.
